We Build Structures From The Ground Up

Wilco built was started when the Owner put his flying career aside to put all his effort in turning a childhood passion into a business. Haydon has been involved in the construction industry for 20 years, learning from his grandfather at a young age. He leads his crew by encouraging them to continually learn and develop efficiencies that can provide an outstanding result. We have refined our scope of work to show our true passion of building structures from the ground up, that will stand the test of time. We source and supply industry leading materials, high level accurate tools and equipment to provide the best outcome for our clients.

Structure Specialists

Our company specializes in building structures. We offer services from the “ground up”. A building’s structure is the most important element in a quality build. It starts with the footings and ends with the last sheet installed on the roof. All other trades that are involved in the building rely on our accuracy and quality of workmanship, that ultimately leads to a high-end finish for the customer. Wilco works with general contractors and homeowners to provide this service.

Build Your Dream Home

Wilco Built works with clients to turn their dreams into reality. We focus on large scale renovations/ additions, turnkey builds (homes and shops), and event buildings. We are eager to share our knowledge and expertise by being your general contractor to help guide you through all stages of building. Examples of this would be: permitting and plan preparation, lot clearing and demolition, and building the structure. Along with the selection, organization and scheduling of all sub trades required to complete a turnkey home.

Our Philosophy

We do not settle for “good enough”. Plumb, level and square are the fundamentals on which we base everything. Wilco Built strives every day to better our client services. After our scope, we want to be proud of what we have achieved for the client. Communication and our words are of fundamental importance to our business. A clear and concise job scope and fulfilment are paramount in this industry, and we believe we represent this to the best of our abilities. Our passion is the “will to comply” with all your building goals and dreams.

When we chose Wilco Built to be the general contractor for the replacement of the large verandah that surrounds our historic, rural home in Medonte, we were confident that Haydon Wilson understood our desire to preserve the dimensions of the structure and the historic design, including the bell-shaped roof. At our first interview with Haydon, he pointed out features of the verandah and how he would replicate them without our having to draw attention to them. Within an hour, Haydon had taken measurements and explained how he would tackle several issues that would make the new structure much sturdier than it had been without compromising its historic character. Having had other contractors give estimates for the work, we felt that the cost estimate we received from Wilco Built was both realistic and reasonable. The project presented some unexpected issues during its construction, and Haydon presented us with viable solutions and his recommendations on which would work best. Despite this, the project was completed within the estimated cost. When delays occurred while waiting for other trades to turn up and complete their work, Haydon made good use of the time to complete other portions of the project, like prefabricating rafters in his own shop. The entire Wilco Built team were professional in their work and courteous in their manner, recognizing that we were living within the building site and that our daily activities of life must continue. Haydon and Andrea Wilson were a pleasure to deal with, and we confidently recommend Wilco Built for any challenging construction project.
